Water is vital for all living beings and yet we know little about our vital liquid.
The components of the water (we are talking here about tap water/drinking water)?
What is water: Water consists of 2 parts hydrogen and 1 part oxygen.
Water is the most common chemical compound on planet Earth and the most important compound for the formation of life and the survival of life.
Since water is a solvent, it still contains many foreign substances.
Other name: H2o
Where water is present: Water is an aqueous solution and can be found in digestive juices as well as in the blood.
Property of water: Depending on the density of water it may be frozen (ice), liquid and gaseous (cloud).
Which foreign substances/substances still occur in it:
this depends on the environment it comes from.
Drinking water contains many nutrients that are vital for our body in order for it to function optimally. Water can also be harmful to health due to pollutants and contaminants.
Which nutrients are in the conduction or drinking water?
Minerals and trace elements: we need them to maintain our bodily functions ( What do minerals and trace elements do? ) We need more minerals than the “tracks” elements.
among others we need the following minerals:calcium, magnesium, potassium, sodium, iron and sulfate
Trace elements are e.g.: zinc, fluorine and iron
These nutrients influence important functions in our body and form the basis for many processes in the cells and tissues. Often the drinking water does not contain the necessary nutrients or is it additionally contaminated with pollutants, so that unfiltered tap water would not adequately cover the daily need for minerals and trace elements.
Water filtersthat clean the water and enrich it with minerals and trace elements would have helped.
What contaminants can occur in the water?
Unfortunately, there are also many pollutants in tap water. Our water is treated, but it also travels a long way through pipes, which can also add contaminants to the water and many things cannot be filtered by the filter systems used.
Among others:
– drug residues/medicines and parasites. There are times when they are tried to kill them with chlorine, but many are resistant to it and we also have the chlorine back in the water.
The use of domestic water filters can counteract this.
– toxic heavy metals: This is often due to old lines. Such as lead, copper and arsenic
Pollutants from agriculture: such as pesticides. These enter the water via the treated arable soil.
In summary, we note:
Water is vital for all of us. We need living (what is living water?), pure water in order to grow healthy – so that our body can function properly.
Since unfortunately pollutants can be found in the water nowadays, it is advisable to filter your own water at home, so that it is free of drugs, chlorine, lead, etc. and rich in minerals and trace elements.
We would like to add at this point: The German Drinking Water Ordinance regulates permissible limits for ingredients in drinking water, and these are also regularly checked. Nevertheless, there are no limit values for various impurities and the water can absorb further contaminants on the way from the waterworks to their home. Our test at home reliably shows: chlorine in tap water – no chlorine after using the water filter.
This is what our filter sponge looks like after 3 months. Thank God there are water filters. ( Bremen Region/ Middle-aged Lines)
