Hydration and fluid care: We need both for healthy skin…

Our skin consists of 64% water, so for an active well-being it is necessary to moisturize it. The word “hydration” is associated with water. So hydrating the skin means increasing its water content. Hydrated skin is smooth, radiant and has an even skin tone. When the skin is dehydrated, it may appear flaky, dull, and dry. However, people often tend to confuse dehydrated skin with dry skin. Although they are used interchangeably, there is a fundamental difference between the two terms. Dehydrated skin has a lack of water, while dry skin has a lack of sebum, which is secreted by the sebaceous glands of the skin.

How do you tell the difference between dry and dehydrated skin? The two have distinctly different signs. Dry skin may manifest as itchy, red, scaly, and irritated, while dehydrated skin can manifest as dull, wrinkled, wrinkled, wrinkled, swollen, and with shade around the eyes, dry mouth, and increased sensitivity. 1

There are ways to moisturize the skin, but there are also ways to nourish it. Hydration and humidification are actually two different processes. The hydration of the skin occurs when we supply it with water. As a result, the skin cells are temporarily replenished, so that the skin feels fuller. This is only temporary, because the skin releases water when it can’t retain it – most obviously through sweating, but also through wind, sun and other elements that accelerate water release.

Drinking plenty of water in itself may not contribute to the hydration of the skin unless you are actually dehydrated. Those who maintain their fluid balance cannot drink large amounts to improve the texture or radiance of the skin. The skin is the last part of the body that water reaches, as it flows first to all other organs. However, drinking enough water helps rid the body and skin of toxins.

Moisturizer is a necessary partner for hydration because it involves adding ingredients to the skin to prevent water loss. If the moisture is retained in the skin, the skin can renew and repair itself naturally, which improves the appearance of the skin and the overall health of the skin.

Maintaining moisture in the skin is a complex science, but dermatologists generally agree that hyaluronic acid, glycerin, urea, ceramides, and antioxidant vitamins A, C, and E are among the most beneficial ingredients added to creams and serums. These ingredients come in many variations and they may also be known by other “INCI” names (International Nomenclature Cosmetic Ingredient), e.B. tocopherol, sodium hyaluronate, ascorbic acid, lipids from oils and seaweed, etc.

The TRUE elements® Marine Organic Skincare range brings moisturizing to a high level by focusing on sustainably grown seaweed that contains naturally occurring antioxidants, beneficial acids, salts and oils.
